Reading Notes Alice in Wonderland Part B

Alice getting attacked by the deck of cards during the trial.

Toward the end of her trip to Wonderland, there was a trial for the Knave. Alice was trying to defend him but the King and Queen were automatically assuming his guilt after just one sentence. The King was very airheaded and did not say anything substantial during the entire trial but on the other hand, the Queen was yelling to cut off people's heads every two seconds and throwing fits like a child quite often. These behaviors can come in handy for my retelling. The King and Queen are very dumb from their actions; however, their lack of intelligence could help Alice escape Wonderland. At the end of this story when the cards attacked Alice, she tried to fight them off and gave a little frightened scream and woke up to find that it was leaves from the tree she was laying under that had floated down into her face, not a deck of cards actually attacking her. When she told her sister of the dream she just had, her sister kind of blew it off as another farfetched story Alice was telling. She just said that it really was a peculiar dream but it was tea time now so Alice better hurry before she's late. After that, they all carried on their normal lives. I find this to be interesting because she returned to normal immediately instead of actually wondering more about her dream. I would change this ending in my own retelling somehow.
